G’day Mates and Shelia’s,

‘Australia Day’ is celebrated in Oz on 26th January each year. It is always a ‘long weekend’ filled with Summer Holidays, BBQ’s, Beach Days, Kids off School and Friend’s and family enjoying a day in the Sun.

We, the Ozzies, love long weekends, BBQ’s, Beer, Wines, G&T’s, Spritzers … in fact, anything that’s COLD to Drink and HOT from the Barbie.

Now of course, South African’s call the BBQ a Braai and we call it a Barbie …. but WE can all agree that anything that’s cooked on the Grill is mouth watering good! Vegetarians Included !! 🤣

My Mom is a Jo’burg Girl that went to Jeppe High and loved her Sports, Outdoor activities, Family and Church. She’s a Rooinek, if that language is still used, so that means l’m half-a-Rooinek too!

I grew up in Australia – wide open spaces, long white beaches, Barbie’s, and community. 🌏  Not that different from the South African way of life …

Hence to answer the Aged old question of ‘What makes an Ozzie?’… well that would be …..

” Football, Meats Pies, Kangaroo’s & Holden Cars …. ” ( do you hear that lekker jingle in your head? Braaivleis, Rugby, Sunny skies and Chevrolet 🤣)

So we INVITE you to help celebrate the good old humble BBQ –  Ozzie style with us.

The menu will be ‘Australian’ with Meats, Salads, Desserts and Drinks – all home cooked by an Aussie, that is half a Rooinek 🇦🇺 🇿🇦 

Slow Roasted Lamb

BBQ – Braai Meats: Sausage Sizzle Lamb Chops Roasted Lamb BBQ’d  Chicken pieces	BBQ – Braai Vegetarian: Vegetarian Sausage Sizzle Vegetarian Burger Pattie, to make your Hamburger. Vegetarian Quiche ( Home-made)
Salads: Potato Salad Coleslaw Salad Green’s Salad Beetroot Salad Garlic Bread. Corn kernels, Carrots, Cucumber, Fetta cheese, etc	Typical Ozzie Desserts: Lamingtons Pavlova Chocolate Crackles etc Tea & Coffee
Drinks from the Bar: Beer White Wine Red Wine Soft Drinks Mineral Water Jugs of Water Special Bottles of Australian Wines to sample.

THE EVENT

The event will run from 1.00 to 4.00 pm

We can Cater for Gluten-Free, Vegetarian and Diabetics. ( Must request on Bookings )

The Event will be limited to 50 Seats and needs to be Pre-Booked! BOOK at the Bottom of the Page please.

Price per Person over 16yr is € 30

Price for Teenagers 12 to 16 is € 25

Price for Children 5 to 12 is € 15

Price for Children under 5 is Free

Attendee’s are asked to bring a Healthy Appetite and a Smile on their face, ready to Mingle and enjoy the Aussie Vibe through Classic Australian Hits played on the day. 😀
